LIM week 26 ( lucky dip).

The theme this week over at 'Less is More'
is 'feeling fruity'. I made this quick card after
my first effort ended up in the bin when I
spilled my 'zest it' all over it and my desk
argghhhh!!!! I drew some dotted lines on
my card with help from my computer.
Then I added a sentiment (computer
generated) can't remember which font
now sorry. I added a red matt and a
picture of some strawberries I had on
my computer. I added some more red
with my Promarkers for shading to the
berries & and added glamour dust to
them also. Quite a simple card I think
but 'clean' too :O)
Update on my back ( pulled muscle),
feeling better now & I am off the
painkillers at long last !
My son's wedding is this Friday so I will
be busy doing 'stuff ' Will post a few
pics next week. Have a lovely weekend
everyone :O) Viv xx

LIM week 25 ( card 2)

Here is my second card this week
for the 'Less is More' challenge
(recipe , ribbon or button). I
am happier with this one. A baby
card ( wonder why baby cards are
on my mind he he). I used a cuddly
buddly (laundry) digistamp.I
decoupaged the image and coloured
it with chalks and Copics, then added
glamour dust. Then I used my new toy
( a shaving brush) & distress ink around
the matt, also did some piercing too.I added
a few pearls at the bottom to finish it off.
I made a larger matt and embossed that
with the small hearts folder  & added a
lovely soft pink chiffon ribbon to it.All
layered onto  white linen card. All the cards
this week look AMAZING LIMettes & C&M
sorry if I can't comment on them all  but well done!

ps.Thanks for all your good wishes on my
sore shoulder/back too, still in pain yet
but I live in hope it goes soon.

LIM week 25 recipe

It's week 25 now over at 'Less is More', this
week it's a recipe (button or ribbon). I pulled
a muscle in my shoulder/back the other day &
have been in a lot of pain and not sleeping.
However I managed to cobble together a
quick card today. Not brilliant I know,
but I had a 'go' at least. I may do another
.......I may not, depends on this nagging pain
I have, feels like someone is stabbing me with
a sharp knife atm.Sorry for the moan, on with
the card details.
PP pink damask card which I stamped with my
(create a scene) tree stamp in white ink. I embossed
that in seafoam white then shaded the trees with a
little green chalk here and there. I used the dots folder
to emboss another matt which I also shaded with
green chalk.I added some white organza ribbon
which I edged in green with my Promarkers . I used
a just for you sentiment stamp stamped in  lime green ink.
The green was too dark so I embossed it in seafoam
white to make it match the trees( handy hint).I coloured
some clear gems with a promarker in green to match it too.
Hmmm still not sure......sorry photo isn't good either,
looks better in real life.........off for yet another pain killer
arrgghhhhh!

LIM week 24 ( card 3)

Here is my final card for this weeks
'Less is More' challenge. You are right
Mandi I did forget the white space lol !
( slaps own hand).
Quite pleased with my final card I am
glad to say, wasn't  that keen on the
other two.I made a round base card
( using nesties) ,then used the swirl
( circles kind of) folder to emboss it.
Then I cut three smaller circles with my
nesties & shaded them with chalks. I
used snowy dots for a little embossing....
( more tiny circles lol).I
finished with some lovely bright turquoise
ribbon for a bow and to make 'trunks' with.
I found if I glued the ribbon 'trunks' down I
could then bend them a little to get more shape,
( handy tip)lol .Tiny papermania gems added
to the circles to finish them off.Hope I left enough
white space this time !
Thankyou for all the lovely comments & best wishes
and congratulations, you are all such lovely ladies :O)
hugs

ps. Welcome to my latest followers also :O)

LIM week 24 (card 2) ...& some news!

Here is my second card for this weeks
'Less is More' challenge.Thought I would
just have another 'go' this week. Your
remark made me giggle too Mandi lol.
(Pink Petticoat )spotted paper printed
onto card ( golden rod shade). I used
some TH (vintage photo) ink & water to
make a design on card, then punched
circles with it. I stamped some flowers
onto them using ( My mind's eye) stamp
in black. Drew little circles for stems &
tapestry stamp for little vine detail. I used
an Anita's stamp for the flowers and
sentiment, then coloured it with Promarkers
& some of the flowers in the circles too.
Just a very quick card really.No I didn't use
glossy paper Suze just plain card.

Now onto my news ( I hinted at a while ago)!!!!!!!
I am soooooo excited as I am to be a granny!!!!!!!!!
Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh, not only that but twice over it
seems. Had just got over the shock of my eldest son
& his soon to be wife expecting than two weeks later
my youngest son and wife surprised us too!We are sooo
excited and happy, had to wait for the first scan to be able
to share....well one anyway....the other is early days yet.
You can tell it's our first grandchild lol......and also why I
seem to have a permanent smile lately and been knitting
like crazy lol.Sorry for the long post but just had to share!!!!!

LIM Week 24 theme (circles).

Oh my I can't believe it's now week 24 over at
'Less is More' . This week it's theme week and
that theme is circles. You certainly keep us on
our toes C&M...and no Mandi I don't want
another acetate week just yet thank you lol !!!!!
I thought  long and hard and nothing came to
me, but in the end this idea jumped into my head
thank heavens!!!
I used an 18 cm x 10 cm card base for a change,
I punched some circles them stamped little flowers
in tangerine versacraft ink. Nice to try a new colour
for once I thought. Then I used the negative of the
circles I punched as a template to chalk some more
circles . Then I mounted the card circles onto 3d
foam pads to add a little height. I added a few stems
with my trusty Promarker pen ( bright orange) &
stamped a few leaves with the tangerine ink again.
I stamped the sentiment with an Anita's new stamp
I aquired recently also in tangerine ink, shaded with a
little( ice grey1) Promarker. I added little dots ( circles!)
to the centre of the flowers( which also have a circular
kind of shape I thought :O) .) A little sparkle with my
glamour dust on some of the flowers completed the card.
Hope you like it, nice change from my usual pink I thought !

More holiday pics ( Eden project).

Here are some pics taken at the Eden project.Hope you like them, we got so hot in the tropical dome,
sweat was running down my face when I left. Looks of alarm from people entering I can tell you lol.
Handy tip ( take lots of water & dress lightly). There is a lovely waterfall halfway  round with a welcoming cold breeze though. Also there is place selling really cold water when you get out, I bet they make a fortune!!On a positive note it seemed to seep into my bones  & do my Arthritis good for days.My OH said we must get a sauna installed when we move house......result :O)

The domes, one is very hot and one is warmish, does vary a bit though, been twice & the heat does vary each time.

This bee was absolutely massive, not real of course!
Large balloon used to prune up high in one of the domes.
This was used for cooking in an (African??) village.
Some of the beautiful flowers.
A pond in the middle of the dome.
Rare and very stinky plant, luckily it had closed !
Bananas growing & ready to harvest.
Pineapples, lots of them, the plant leaves looked like a spider plant!
Another pretty specimen.
Food from all over the world.
So pretty had to take a pic.
Bouganvillia above.
Horse made from driftwood (?).
Really strange flowers.
It was so HOT in this dome, my camera steamed up all the time as you can see here.

More pretty flowers.

Few holiday pics!

Just a few holiday pics from our recent trip to Cornwall.

Just adored the kitchen, it was huge too.

Lots of  little fishing villages like this.
St Ives, such a pretty place.
Typical scene with steep twisty streets.

Had such a surprising week this week!!!!!...can't say anymore atm but I am very happy!!!!!will share asap though!
