Baby card

Here is a card I made for my new grandson
Charlie. I love making baby cards, I have
one ready and waiting for my next grandbaby
expected soon too. I added glamour dust to the
largest letters and 3d'd the main image too.
Anyway I hope you like it :O)
ps. Can't remember which image I used now,
will add details later.........changing computers
again after my son has fixed my old now. Had to
move everything to my ext hard drive again, so stuff
everywhere yet!
Updated to add the image is called 'moon lullaby',
& it's a Pollycraft digi image.So cute isn't it,
I think the moon looks like  a large C too......... just
perfect for Charlie I thought.

60th card.

My last card for 'Less is More'
this week. Week 51 and the theme is
                 CUT IT OUT
Linen card again, I used a nestie
( labels 20) for the cut out using
ivory pearlized card.I cut out the
numbers using the same ivory card .
To complete it I added a few punched
flowers , leaves & pearls.

Very grey here again today, feeling very
achy again too after all the rain yesterday.
I so hate the rain,  I call it kryptonite as it
affects me so badly Arthritis wise lol.
Also my other brother is  now in
hospital after collapsing a few times....
never rains.............but it pours !!!

Pink 'Love' card.

 Another version of my 'love' card
for 'Less is More',  week 51 & theme
                  CUT IT OUT
Couldn't resist making a PINK version of
my card ! Made the same way as my
first one except I added a few flowers
and punched leaves and chalked &
distress inked around the edge of the
O. I coloured a few pearls to match also.
Of course I don't mind if you copy my
idea Chrissie. It's what we do... get ideas
and inspiration from each other!

Quick update on my brother...he is now
in a  hospice, but no change yet really.

ps.On a happier note... I hope you all like
my new pic of Charlie above :O)

Love card

Here is my second card for the 'Less is More'
site again.Week 51 & the theme is
                      CUT IT OUT
Wasn't that pleased with my first card , but
thank you so much for all the lovely comments
anyway........you are the best & make my day !
Very simple card really. I cut out a circle with
my nesties then added a few punched letters in
ivory pearlized card.I used a promarker on the
inside of the circle for a touch of colour & also
used it on the flowers & leaves too. I used a
scrap of some 'music' paper I had left over for
the flowers & butterfly .Some tiny pearls completed
the card.More pleased with this card I think anyway.
Btw. is everyone else finding it hard to come
up with new ideas every week now too ??
.I never seem to like the first card I make
these days. I should really wait until I have made
a couple then choose just one.Also simple and
clean is often best I think, it's what we leave off
and not what we put on which matters. Oh listen to
me as if I am some sort of expert he he!! Less is More
says it all really doesn't it!
We are off to see Charlie again tomorrow and I just
can't wait.I think he will get cuddled for hours lol....
the poor baby !!!

Butterflies card

 More pink again.......but with a bit
of blue  this time too!
It's week 51 over at 'Less is More'
 & the theme is.......
                   CUT IT OUT
I used a butterfly die ( provocraft)
& cut an aperture in some blue card
I had printed ( wishy washy watermark
pattern on it).After edging the panel
with distress ink, I 3d'd it to the main
card. I used a couple of stamps,
a wording one and a swirl and embossed
behind the butterfly aperture. Then I
added some distress ink ( spun sugar)on
top of the stamping. I added some tiny
punched butterflies , which where also
coloured with ink and stamped in blue
in places.I added some clear gems to
complete it.Hmmm now not sure if we
had to make the aperture in the actual
card itself ??

again to be in this week's showcase over

you made my day yet again :O)
My new grandson is now much better too
I can report. After some jaudice and feeding
problems he is looking much better.Can't
wait for my next cuddles now.

Peacock card

Another card for  'Less is More',
it's week 50 and 'one layer' card week
again. The theme this week is
                    BIRDS
The peacock stamp & sentiment is from
the same set as yesterday's birdcage btw.
I coloured the image with water pencils
again, then blended with water. I added
some sparkle with glamour dust too..
I wasn't sure if the peacock needed legs,
so I added some ( see second pic).Hmm
not sure which I like now, you will decide
no doubt which you prefer.The linen card
didn't help with the colouring either,
should have used smooth, but I do like
linen  card.Hands sore again..... sorry if I
don't leave you a comment again.
ps. Sorry Craftyteacher didn't notice you had
used the peacock stamp too on your card before
I made mine.

 

Birdcage card

Another card for the 'Less is More'
challenge again. It's week 50 &
'one layer' week this time and the
theme is ......
                    BIRDS. 
 I used a stamp set I won for a monthly
prize over at Less is More recently. It's
 a clear set with various birds/plants, says
Kanban crafts.com on the back. I lost the
top part now which has the name on ...
..sorry.The set  was from 'the crafty barn'
internet site.
I stamped in Momento Tuxedo black and
added one of the bird stamps to the cage.
I drew a line with a fine  black marker for
the thread at the top. Then I decided to use
some water colour pencils for a change.
Sentiment also from same set.

Just to add for anyone who didn't see my
two earlier posts....I am now a Gran/Granny:O)
Details and pics on earlier posts, Charlie 
decided to arrive a week early too.
Both baby and mother are ok, ....except he
is a little jaundiced so back in hospital again
and a bit of trouble feeding too. Sure he will
be back to full health very soon though.

New Grandbaby !!!

Just a quick post to say our
first grandbaby arrived last night
at 10.08 pm. Name Charlie, weight
7lbs. 9oz. Both mother and baby
doing well.He arrived a week early
so took us all  by surprise :O)
Still not seen him yet , dying for a
first cuddle now. Will post a pic when
I get one.Such a welcome distraction
for me, I am so happy.Welcome to the
world little Charlie!!!

Predominantly Purple

Hi again, not been a great week for me.
Thankyou to all my lovely friends and
followers here who have been so great
leaving such kind comments/emails, you
are the best.
Quick update below regarding previous post.
My brother is now in a critical condition,
......so just a waiting game I'm afraid. He has a
tumour and nothing more can be done it seems.
I didn't feel like making any cards this week,
but in the end decided to make just one to
help keep my mind off things.I may go missing
shortly so at least you will all know why.
The grandbabies are also due very soon,( see
above right) so I have a few things to sort
and not sure if a funeral or birth will come first.....
Sorry if I don't leave many comments this week
also...but I'm sure you will understand.

Anyway about my card.
Of course it had to be a LIM one again for
the 'Less is More' site. It's a colour one this
week and it's
 Predominantly Purple

I used TH Dusty Concord ink , then I stamped
with the same ink using my new My Paper World
swirls and wording set.I stamped with the swirls first
then I stamped the wording part with Momento
Sweet plum ink.I tore the edge of the card then 3d'd it
on top as a panel. I die cut a butterfly using the
same inked & stamped card, then added embossing
using a Cuttlebug folder . I added some glamour dust
& some purple gems, ( they are purple/green but look
different here as they shine a few colours).I like the idea
of the butterfly matching the card behind it, will be
doing more like this ! Hope you like it too.

Just to add my eldest brother is extremely
ill and so there may be a break in my blogging
