Number four Giraffe card

Here is another number card today,
up to 4 now ( very appropriate I thought
today.....see my ps below! Such a cute image
again from  the lovely Beccy of course.
It's available HERE, along with the others.
I coloured the image with Promarkers
& Copics and added some lines
around the edge for interest. I layered
the image ( cut with nesties again) onto
a bit of striped card ( Pink Petticoat
stripes). Then onto another 'dotty' card
matt. A few gems coloured to match &
a computer generated sentiment
 completed the card.

I have a little announcement tomorrow, but
will keep you guessing for now :)
ps. The new grandbaby may arrive very soon
we think, ...more pains last night. If he arrives
today he will only get a birthday every four
years though...it being leap year ! Just want to
see him now though so who cares lol.

Number three sheep card

Here is another really cute image
from the very talented Beccy .
I think this may be my favourite
image in these number series....
then again maybe not, I just adore
them all ! The image is available
HERE, can't wait to see what
Beccy comes up with next in this
group of digi designs.I cut a card
using my large nesties and made
a matt with another of the same
 nestie shapes.
I used some spare yellow card I
had printed out a while ago. It's
a Pink Petticoat design ( Washed
 Damask) , but can't remember
the colour now...sorry. I used my
nesties to cut a matt after first printing
the image onto card. I coloured it
with Copics & added some eyelashes
with a permanent marker too. I printed
the other 3 ( she kindly gives us two
images , a single number and an image
with an animal ). I used the spare
number to decoupage on top of the
original one. I added some glamour dust
( as usual lol) and highlighted the little
stitches with a pink Copic.I then softly chalked
the edges of the image . A bit of
organza ribbon & tiny pearls completed
the card. Such a cute image, hope you
like it too :)
No sign of that grandbaby btw. .....I think it's
just likes being where it is too much lol !

Love peace and happiness card

It's week 56 over at 'Less is More'
& here's what they want us to do.....
'This week we have a simple recipe
for you to follow which is to use some
of those left over bits and pieces we
all tend to keep so this week it's
             Don't scrap it !

I had a narrow piece of Linen card over
from the last card I used so that was my
starting point . I then looked through my
ever growing pile of spare card/paper( oh
my I have three large boxes of it now !!!).
I found this pale beige/green stripey paper
and used my (Marianne leaf die) on it. Then I
found a tiny scrap of flowered paper in
matching colours. I was so pleased at that
rarely happens I find ! I used my (Crealies
creative flowers) die to make a flower with it.
I edged the leaf and the flower with some
distress ink ( Frayed Burlap). I found some
chinese stamps I hardly ever use and stamped
Love, Peace & Happiness with them using
distress ink ( Antique Linen). A spare large
pearl I found on a  bit of paper which I
coloured to match completed the card.
It's lovely and sunny here today, I hope
everyone is enjoying the weather & has
a good weekend.
ps. No baby yet !!!!!! :(

Number two rabbit card

Here is my second card with the
super cute digi image from Beccy
available HERE. I just love these
animals peeking out from the
 numbers.I used  another 5 1/2 "
square Linen card again. I printed
the digi image & used my nestie
rectangles to cut it out, using the
 'overhang' type method. I coloured
 the cute bunny using Promarkers
 ( Ice grey 1 & 2) & Blossom.Ahem
............ yes my fav colour pink
 again I'm afraid lol.
 The number two was coloured
using pink chalks .I edged it all
 using Promarkers and chalks to
match. A strip of card was
 cuttlebugged with the 'snow' folder
again, I love that subtle dotty effect.
I used some lovely bright ribbon  I
found this week from a very cheap
shop near where I live.....real bargain
at only £1 for 5 mtrs.( Aldi or Lidl I
get them mixed up...but one of them!)
A few clear gems from my stash,
punched leaves ' Martha Stewart
punch' & 'Wild Orchid Crafts' flowers
 completed it.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend,
the sun is out here so we are heading
off for our usual forest walk  now :)

Number one bear card.

Here is the first in a set of  'number' cards,
with some really cute animals too.
The image is from the lovely Beccy and
is available now on her website
HERE. She is sooo talented I just love
her digi images. Just perfect for all the
little people in your life :)
Anyway back to my card. It's a 5 1/2 "
square card ( Linen card stock). I used
a mixture of Promarkers & cheap
 pearlized paints on the image.
 Computerized sentiment, die cut butterfly
and I coloured the gems to match using
 Promarkers.Cuttlebug snow folder used
on the matt, blue layer strip was a clouds
design I had printed  off onto card.Hope
you like it :) ..............just to add that this
image is now a freebie over at Beccy's
 place, link above.

ps No sign of the latest grandbaby yet,..... it
was due yesterday. A quick trip to the hospital
yesterday for the mother ( bit alarming) to check

Pink flowers card & bookmark

It's week 55 and theme week on
the  'Less is More' site which is to use
........... Punches or Die cuts
I couldn't resist making another
card with the beautiful flowers image
from the lovely Beccy, and it's a freebie!!!
Of course it had to be pink too........
.those who know me will understand why !!!

Hope it qualifies for Less is More
as I did use die cuts for the butterflies
too. I used Copics and Promarkers
to colour the image, then 3d'd one of
the flowers. After adding the obligatory
glamour dust ( ahem... well it has to
be done , I adhered that to another
strip of card. Then I used another matt
 & edged it with a matching Copic.The
 sentiment was computerized again.
Butterflies punched & coloured to match,
then layered onto a matching strip of card.
A few clear gems completed the card. I
made a quick matching bookmark too,
I love to do that !

I shrunk the image in GCF then coloured it
to match, layering on more card &
chalking the edges,a ribbon was added too.

Hope you are all enjoying this milder weather,
although there's a cold wind here today &
rain expected later . Had to wrap up warm
again for our daily forest walk this morning.
Right I am off to steam floors ( 5 ...oh my)
and make yummy oat biscuits ( recipe in an
earlier post),then maybe another card :)

No sign of the new grandbaby yet, expected
tomorrow,we are meeting them for lunch
tomorrow....I hope we get an unexpected
 surprise :)

Art Deco card & some jewellery

I made this card for my lovely
sister-in-law for her 50th birthday.
As she loves Art Deco I decided
on that for a theme.I made little
 bookmarks too.Lots of glitter too
on the images but hard to see here.
I also gave her some silver Amethyst
jewellery (not made by me this time)
as I wanted something more expensive.
A necklace & a pair of earrings in
case you are wondering, & yes she
loved them. I decorated some tiny boxes
& made little tags to go inside them.
Colour looks kinda greenish here though
...sorry!
The Art Deco pictures came free in a mag
& are Debbie Moore ones btw.
I made another Art Deco card  for
my other lovely french sister- in- law
too but lost the photo. I have scoured
my computer but to no avail, didn't help
having to change it three times due to
 problems lately. Anyway my kind
brother-in -law scanned a pic of it,
not a brilliant pic but you get the idea lol.

Amethyst Necklace
Earrings( colour looks weird here though)
Card is white & leaves are shiny silver

Swirl and bee card

It's week 55  over at 'Less is More'
& it's  theme week.This time it's.....
     Punches or Die Cuts
I used a Cheery Lynn flourish die
to make the swirl, computerized text
& a little stamped bee ( clear 'Cambridge
 Daisy Rubber Stamp Design' ).I
coloured the bee using Promarkers &
added glamour dust to the wings.Another
simple card but I quite like it, hope
 you do too.

It's lovely & sunny here today, hope
you all have the sunshine too!
No sign of the  next grandbaby yet,
but it could be any day now :) ( Can
you see this excited face?)
ps. I have some more exciting news too,
but can't tell you  just yet :)

Purple flowers card

Hi everyone, I made another card today
and it's not quite as CAS as my usual
style,... shock horror !!!  I used a super
flower digi image made by the lovely
 Becca from Beccy's place.
She really has some super images there,
go check her out sometime ( link here &
in my side bar too) .Anyway back to my
card. I used my trusty Promarkers
to colour the flowers then I decoupaged
one of them . I glamour dusted the
flowers and then mounted them onto a
die (Fancy tags 2). I used distress inks on
the die & tied ribbon through it at the edges
(using Promarkers to colour the ribbon also).
I used my newest embossing folder ( Damask)
to matt another layer behind the die.The sentiment
is stamped (Jane's script,a clear magic stamp). I
used distress ink on the label part . I curled some of
the petals and leaves to add dimension btw.
Hope you like it ....and a very Happy Valentine's day
 to you all :)

Striped cards

It's week 54 now over at
'Less is More' & it's 'one
layer ' card week and.......
           STRIPES
Just can't get to grips with
the idea of stripes this week,
my mojo has gone...help!!!
However I came up with these
two ideas, not brilliant I know
but will have to do for now.
I used Distress inks for the
stripes on the 1st card and a
Hobby Art flower stamp.I
added a few liquid pearl dots
to the flower also. The second
card was made in GCF playing
around with stripes and wording.
Had that beatles song going
round my head as I made it  lol !

We still have snow about but it's
melting now at last. Keep warm
everyone :)
ps. Some freebies on earlier posts
if you are interested, just background
papers I made this time.

Aqua let it snow card

Another card for 'Less is More' again.
It's week 53 and a colour theme which is
                         AQUA
Didn't intend making another card but I
found this lovely 'mesh' type  stuff. I have
had for ages. It's so pretty, I bought it in white
( as well as other colours) hoping to use it
for my daughters wedding invites, but she
wanted something  else of course lol.
Anyway it was the soft aqua colour which
I noticed and thought ......aha must use it !
It is a soft mesh with raised 'dot's , such a
nice texture to it also. I used my usual linen
card and cut some  of the 'mesh' to cover it.
I used my 'fancy tags 2' to make a label &
coloured that with a Promarker & chalks.
Computerized text ( Respective) & glamour
dust to finish it off. I 3d'd the label and added
ribbon ( coloured to match with Promarker).
It looks so pretty irl ( even though I say so
myself lol).
ps.See older post for biscuit recipe
& two plaques I made too :O)
