Holly ornament card

Good morning fellow bloggers, we have sun today....hope it lasts. Today I have another DT card to show you made for 'Beccy's Place', using the digi image 'Holly ornament'. Another Christmas one, not far away now is it, daren't think about it yet though. Anyway it's nice to have some Christmas cards made in advance I find. I printed the digi image three times to make three hanging baubles, added a bit of white string and a bit of embossing too. Here is my card so come and look............ Another handy tip for fellow bloggers too.As you may or may not know there is a limit to how much storage we can use on our blogs.We are all given 1GB of free storage ......BUT one way round it is to add any photo's at 800x800 pixels or below as they don't count towards your storage.I resize all mine by  70%, just hover below your pic and it will say what size yours is. Neat trick eh!  I found that out only recently, thankyou to whoever it was who told me btw.Just  thought others may find that useful too so passing it on.

Pink and black keys card

Good afternoon fellow crafters/bloggers/friends . I hope all is well  in your world today . I have a pink , black and white card to  show you today. I love that colour combo, I hope you like it too. Quick tip below!!! I wanted some bakers twine for this card and don't have any so.... here is quick tip for anyone who doesn't know. I cut a length of white twine, then I wrapped it around a ruler ( cover it with tape first maybe).  I used a pink Promarker I  had used on the card image and drew stripes  along the string horizontally. I dried that with my heat gun then I was  able to add it to my card....job done ! ps. Thankyou to all who asked, our family party went  very well on  Sunday . A great time had by all :)...now I am trying  to rest a bit more lol.Poor  Alex and Charlie both have colds though now....poor babies !

Blue butterfly card

Hi fellow bloggers, hope you are enjoying the weekend. We are having yet another family party tomorrow for my eldest son's  birthday.See details of food below if you are nosey.We have our lovely woodburning stove in place now,and very nice it  looks too. OH just doing tiling around it now, dark grey slate  to go with the black/grey of the fire.It was so hot when we tried the fire the other day, I think it will keep us toasty all winter now. Right onto my card, sorry for waffling/rambling again! Hope it's LIM enough, not sure if it's too 'busy' ...sorry if it is C&M. For this week's 'Less is More' challenge we have to Take 3 Challenges we can choose three previous challenge ideas and then combine them on a card. So easy peasy really. My mojo went missing today, but I did manage a card in the end. Still not sure about it but it will have to do for now, I may make another during the week......or not. Mostly stamping this time with a bit of embossing too ( sentiment & butterfly). Have a great weekend everyone, we will be knee deep in  babies again lol, not that I am complaining. Here is my card.

ps. I have been making lemon, rosemary and sea salt  focaccia bread, well starting it ready for baking tomorrow. Having that with some hot spinach , artichoke  & cheese  dip served with spicy wedges. Also goats cheese & roasted  red pepper  bruchetta with basil  Fresh melon too, can choose which  they want.That's the starters, followed by spicy lentil puff pastry  plait, new potatoes, couscous salad and seasonal  green veg with  chilli  & red pepper chutney. Followed by lemon tart & almond  toffee crunch ice- cream, served with homegrown raspberries or choc  bites. Fresh pineapple and black grapes. Coffee cake ( as requested  by son for his birthday), coffee and mints.They always fight  to take home the left  overs lol. Hope I haven't made you  all hungry now too he he! pps. Spider witch hat card

Hi everyone, brrrrrr it's a tad chilly here this morning.  I think  Autumn has well and truly arrived now.My computer is showing  it's 8c , feels colder too.Today I have another DT card to show  you, made for 'Beccy's Place' again using the digi image  'Spider witch hat'. I made another Halloween/trick or treat card. Btw. We are having our new woodburning stove fitted today..... just in time I think, can't wait to see a real fire now.Yesterday we made lots of Elderberry wine from local berries we had collected. We also made lots of Elderberry jam too, more Vit C than blackcurrants and it has anti-viral properties too so we make a batch of each every  year now.So fiddly to get the berries off the stem though ( yes we do  use a fork),so  no wonder you don't see it much in  the shops.

With love monochrome card

Good morning everyone, yet another beautiful sunny day here again, hope you have the sun wherever you are too. I have a monochrome card to show you today, I just fancied making a black and white card. As luck would have it the card also fitted the bill for this week's 'Less is More' challenge also  which was a THEME  this time and we have to use an  OVAL As so often happens I had already made this card before I saw the  challenge.........spooky or what ?? Anyway here it is, hope you like it. ps. So happy I have finished all the scrubbing of tiled floors, washing wooden ones, bleaching everything in site.Have to do that before my RA starts  again for the winter as I am limited what I  can do then. The house looks sooooo clean, and we have got rid of so  much 'stuff' now too. My next job is to replant all the tubs for winter  outside, then finish sorting my craft room over winter. No rush  for the craft room now though, at least it's tidy and clean . We  are having our new woodburning stove fitted on Thurs too..... so excited about that ! Our gas boiler is nicknamed Billy so we  are calling the new woodburner Woody.......ahem...yes we are mad.

Nobody's perfect card

Good morning everyone I trust you are all well today. We have  some lovely sunshine here again too. Made an early start, already made a leek, ricotta and lemon zest quiche for later and almost finished a fresh cream strawberry chocolate cake too :) That's on  top of washing all our wooden floors and steaming the carpet. Second lot of washing in too.......my lovely OH says I am like a  whirling dervish atm. lol. Going to see my gorgeous grandson Charlie  today and taking the yummy food with us ( diet gone awol today!). Right onto my card, sorry rambling yet again grrr! It's another DT card made for 'Beccy's Place' again, using the digi image  'Nobody's perfect'.Such a cute image isn't it, could be used for Xmas or for a child or for a 'sorry' card , lots of uses really.

Peeking bear pink card

Good afternoon everyone, hope you are all well today. Here is a little card I made.......just because.I wanted to try another  pink card ( surprise surprise ) and also wanted to try out my new LOTV stamp, such a cute bear isn't he ?? We went down to the local market today where they were holding a lovely food festival. Pretty flowers pink and green card

Good afternoon everyone, we have  a lovely sunny day here  again, bit windy but blue skies at least.Today I have a card to  show you I have been trying to finish for ages. It took me the best  part of a whole day at first then I kept going back to finish little bits. It's not my usual CAS style for a change . I have a few of these type of cards I want to make now. I hope you enjoy looking at them as  much as I enjoyed making them. I hope to add lots of handmade  flowers on them also . I have a black and white card to show you next ( this type of card,I mean although I may post other cards  in between), and then probably pastel coloured ones.I was going to wait until I saw a suitable challenge to post the card in, but no luck ................. so will just post it anyway. ps.I am scrubbing tiled floors today ( we have 5 arrrghhh)  with bleach. Just done one today, it looks fabulous now , being pale beige I doubt it will stay that way long though lol.

Holiday hearth set

                                 Good morning everyone, we have sun today even if it's
a tad more chilly now . Today I have a few cards to show  you, more DT ones made for 'Beccy's Place'. They are all made from Beccy's latest digi's called 'Holiday Hearth set'. The first card was made using Halloween elements from the  set. The second card was made using the Christmas images. The third was made using the Cauldron from the same set, I also made a matching backing paper for it too. I am posting the background paper I made here for you to use ( see below). Btw. the new diet is going well, week two now and I have lost 5 lbs in total !!!! so very pleased. My OH has lost 6lbs too. The craft  room sorting is still ongoing, but getting there slowly.

Joy & Love cards

Hi everyone, another hot and sunny day here today again. It's week 84 over at 'Less is More' and it's one layer card  week with the theme this time being ............... Foliage I made two quite different cards this time.For the first one I  printed some foliage around the edges of the card.Then I  added a quote from Mother Teresa. For the second card I looked for a font with some leaves and printed the word  Love. I stamped some leaves over the L and glittered the leaves on the letter L. I thought it wasn't quite finished off so I used my new folder to emboss all over the card for more interest. I would also have added a lovely white silk bow to the top part, if it was not one layer card week, so  just imagine that part please. Hmmm maybe some tiny  white pearls to the centres of the embossing too.The  second card is my  favourite I think but you choose !

Haunted birdhouse card

Good afternoon bloggers, a lovely warm sunny day here  today, I hope you have the same wherever you are.Today I have another DT card to show you made for 'Beccy's Place' with the digi image 'Haunted Birdhouse'. Just in time to  celebrate Halloween,so many things in the shops for Halloween these days aren't there.I think as our grandsons grow I will be making them some Halloween things too ( grins)! I added a suitably spooky sentiment, a cheeky spider dangling from his web and also a speech bubble to the little spooky house.Also a bit of glamour dust for sparkle.......can't NOT use something glittery. ps. A big welcome to more followers again, thankyou  so much  for choosing me to follow. I am happy to report more weight loss ! Good afternoon crafters/bloggers/followers, we have another sunny  start to the day here again. Today I have another 'Less is More' card to show you. It's week 83 and a colour theme this week which is... Brown and Pink Not a colour combo I have used before I think, I quite like it too. ps. A big welcome to my latest followers also, welcome aboard. Craft room still in chaos, new shelves up and fireplace almost in , but boxes,'stuff' and storage all over yet arghhhh!!! On a positive note I lost 3 lbs yesterday on our new diet ( 3 day diet)  and OH lost 4lbs !!!....will report more losses as they happen .

Good afternoon everyone, we have a lovely warm sunny day  here today. I hope you all have the sun too, September isn't bad  so far ! Here is another DT card made for 'Beccy's Place' again, using Beccy's gorgeous digi image 'Blossom spray'. I made a  lovely sunny yellow card this time, hope you like it & that it  cheers you up whatever you may be doing today :) ps. We are on a  3 day diet, I will report back if we both lost weight ! Just a note cards ( & freebie image)

Good afternoon everyone, I hope you are all well and happy today. I am in the middle of sorting my craft room  YET AGAIN. We have decided to have a wood burning stove in our lounge, so the old elec fire and fireplace are coming in my craft room now. That means I have to move a lot of shelves and 'stuff' and also have more shelving put up.I am hoping I can sort/throw  out/give away stuff as I move it too........hoping !!!! I am just sharing two very quick cards with you today, made with a freebie image from Beccy's Place. I just printed the image & added a thin green border the match the pear. Then I embossed one  card and debossed the other. Makes  a great quick note  card I think :) Freebie image available HERE.
