Pink ribbon card

Hi everyone, I hope you are well today. We had another 2"
of snow again overnight  but it's rapidly melting in the sun
thank heavens. Today I have another 'Less is More' card
to show you. It's a sketch this week and the details are.........
Sketch #8
"This week we have a sketch for you drawn by Jen.
It's simplicity itself, so to add a little constraint, we ask that the card
stays in this orientation ie that the band remains in the horizontal
plane, in the lower part of the card and that it takes up no
more than 1/3rd of the height of the cardbase."
Luckily I soon had a cunning  plan , I had seen an idea on another blog
HERE and although I didn't use the 'padding' method she used I did
get the idea from there so giving due credit. I hope the card is the right
dimention re... ( 1/3 rd of the height etc.), if not I will try again. We have
our lovely grandson arriving very soon so I am off to make some  mini
doughnuts in a machine I bought recently. Not for Charlie of course
( too young I think) but for his parents. I want to try the machine
out so I can throw away packaging if I see it works etc.Well
at least they aren't fried!!! We lost 4lbs this week on our 3 day diet again,
yaaaahhhh......won't  be eating too many doughnuts then I guess lol.
ps. I tried putting my Cuttlebug plates in the oven to straighten them.
170C for 30 mins wrapped in a single layer of foil. It did work ....
BUT I didn't wrap then securely enough at the edge with foil and they
sort of buckled at that edge.Drat!...never mind I do have a spare
set and also my Happy Cuts now too.Stay warm and safe everyone.

'Celeste' Silk Ribbon necklace and earrings

Hi everyone, we had more snow again last night, so another
3" or so on top of the last 3". It feels cold but not as windy as
yesterday , really freezing wind which froze you to the spot.It
seems to be thawing too which is good, we managed a quick
walk again....but walked very quickly lol ! Right something
different for a change today, more jewellery. I haven't made
any for what seems like forever now. But......inspiration struck
yesterday and I have been making new stuff non-stop all day
yesterday and today.  I decided to go upmarket & get some
beautiful real silk chiffon  ribbons ( handmade & hand dyed ) and
also some handmade Lampwork beads  too.So many talented
artists making them, I hope I have put together some nice
jewellery ideas using them. I have used some Swarovski
stones and charms etc.here,.... Lampwork beads in later pieces.
Anyway enough rambling, here  is my very first effort. Hope
you like them all as much as I do.My first piece is called 'Celeste'.
ps. I big welcome to my latest follower too, welcome aboard :)

activities which friends share, images of friends-    animal
or human or both!"
I chose these two TeddyBoBea cute bears. I have used them
before, but this time I only used the middle image of the three by
covering up the other two digitally. I dedicate this card to all my
lovely blogging friends, you are the BEST and I love you all :)
ps. I am trying out various new watermarks I made recently to
see which I like.....so if you see lots of them that's why. Also for

Pastel flower card

Hi everyone, another snowy day here again -1c but it
went down as low as -13c the other day nearby brrrr !
Today I have another CAS card to show you. I decided to
join in the CAS-ual Fridays challenge which was........

CFC86: Create a CAS card that has one long side and
 one short side.
3 x 6, 4 x 8, etc. No standard A2's for this week.
I think my mojo may have returned at long last .....well I
am keeping everything crossed it has anyway.I tried stamping
a flower and bee image with a sentiment then watercolouring it
a tad.......but it didn't look that great so I made another using
some chalking which I find a lot more reliable. The card is
3"x6" btw., so quite narrow, but nice to try something
different I find. Keep warm everyone!
ps. A very big welcome to my latest followers Gillian & Marlou too, wow
that makes 172 now. Thankyou for choosing little 'ol me to follow
everyone :)

Snow pics , cards and a tri frame

Hi everyone, we have snow today, here is a pic of
what we woke up to this morning.More now falling too! Also
an Anniversary card for our son, a first birthday card for our
grandson and a tri framed photo I made for him also.I used
copper coloured pearlized card and wording ( shaded) as copper
is the symbol for the 7th Anniversary....along with wool
apparantly. Louie bear digi image ( Digistamp boutique) used
for the birthday card. The tri frame was an idea I had a while
ago, I had fun chasing our grandson around with the letters to
get just the right photo's. Mostly on my knees too!....you would
laugh if you had seen me. Some ended up on his back, around
his ankle.... and as  a  halo ( the O)  which slipped as he laughed
and also made a funny  photo .Glad I got one with him pointing
as he does that a lot ( ET) is his nickname just now lol. His
parents will be pleased with this keepsake I hope.  I will
do the same for our other grandson in March too.
Stay safe everyone.
ps. Poor Charlie was a bit overwhelmed with all the children/adults
at his party. He spent a lot of time clinging like a limpet to our son.
However he did love his cake.....see pic on right !
Wording is shaded btw. Copper and black and glamour dusted too.

Computerized wording

Charlie is one!

Swimming card

Hi everyone, brrrr it's a bit chilly today, snow expected too !
Just managed to visit our grandson yesterday for his 1st birthday
which is on Monday. So glad we didn't leave it until Monday
now.I took 105 photographs...oh my!!! lots of good ones too.
I want to put three in a  tri frame , will show you when I finish it.
Right onto my 'LIM'  card for this week. This time it has to
be a one layer card and the theme is.......
 Sports or Exercise
Not an easy subject I think, however I managed it and here is
the result. I was quite pleased with the sentiment, took a bit
of thinking about that one!I just added a bit of sky & grass using
some chalk and a few hand drawn birds also,..... job done.OOPS
I just realised by adding the background my card isn't so LIM anymore
SORRY, hope I am forgiven......now made version two phew!
I just bought some lovely new Flexmarkers,..... well it would have
been rude not too as they were in a sale.I just LOVE them, my new
favourites. They are very like Copics but I think they have an even
thinner soft 'pointed' end, great for getting into tiny places.
I want MORE!!!!
ps. A big welcome to my latest follower too, welcome aboard.

I think I have lost my mojo! Such a hectic Christmas, then
my OH decided to hit the ground running the day after Boxing day
and start decorating and sorting a spare bedroom.....with my help of
course. So much  'stuff ' in there arghhh! I am exhausted , but the room
is quite empty  now, (several trips to charity shop) . OH is staining
the wooden floors,we ripped all the carpet  out and the beautiful  wooden
floor is the last one to be reinstated  now.I  just couldn't get back into
card making for some reason, but I did  make a start on some
new jewellery which I am loving now.More pics soon. xx
