Birds in my hair card

Good morning everyone and a very Happy Easter to
all my lovely blogging friends too. We have sun today
and it looks like a good day for our usual walk in the
woods....if I can manage it lol :) Didn't feel that great
yesterday with this dratted cold, but I slept quite well
(despite coughing bouts) so am hoping I am over the
worst now.All our family Easter celebrations here are
cancelled now of course, ( I have so many small eggs
for our usual egg hunt grrrr). Will probably do it next
week .I have another card to show you today, made
a while ago again. I had hoped to use these last few
for a LIM challenge sometime but I couldn't so I am
posting them now as they  seem to be mounting up.
ps. I have some happy news too!!! ( smiles) I have been
asked by  'The Craft Barn' to be a guest designer for
next month. What a great site and what an honour to be
asked too, thanks Izzy. I will show you my first card
 next Sat :)

Hi everyone, just a quick post today. Still not feeling that great

I came up with, not made for anyone in particular. I wanted to try
using the freebie 'Flower heart' from DSB and  also the 'Cherry
blossom' branch from DSB too. I am also sharing some papers I made
recently and a butterfly :) I hope you like them, I made a few, esp.
the butterflies and I will be sharing more with you if you like them.
I have some pretty plaided papers too you might like :)
Bye for now xx
ps. Usual terms apply to my freebies, free to use on any projects but please
don't claim them as your own and direct people back here to download
them, thankyou :) Click to make them larger then  right click and 'save image as' .

Dragonfly card

Afternoon everyone, we have snow again.....must
be Spring then I guess lol !!! Stay safe all of you.
It's a recipe over at 'Less is More' this week
 and the theme is.......
Beads
Well as a jewellery maker (see earlier posts to view some)
it should pose no problem I thought......WRONG! The best
part of 2 hrs and  my first effort now firmly posted in the
'round' file. I almost lost the will to live.....enough moaning
sorry!!  Here is what I came up with, some distress
inking again and a tiny wire beaded dragonfly....don't peer to
closely at that please :) A big welcome to my latest followers
and thankyou for choosing  me to follow.

ps. have you all decided what you are going to do when
google reader closes on the 1st July?? not sure if friend
connect will go too, am assuming it will?? I believe the blogs we
follow in blogger will still be seen by us on our dashboard  though
but not typepad or wordpress ( thanks for the info Viv). I am
considering Bloglovin or Feedly atm. Most seem to be choosing
Bloglovin I see but I believe there is no option to use an ipad
with that. I hope to get one soon so that would be a pain.......
decisions, decisions!! Arggghhhh.

'Less is More'   #111 Theme 'Frame it'

'Frame it' card

Hi everyone, hope you are all enjoying this fabulous hot
sunny weather we have today LOL....I joke of course,
more of the wet stuff again grrrr!!! Good excuse to make
some cards anyway. Today over at 'Less is More' it's ....
Frame it !
"Some part of your design should contain a frame of some
description, it could be stamped, drawn,  doodled, die-cut
 or whatever your imagination dictates."
I decided to do some  messy inking, using the 'dab inks and
spray water on an acrylic block' method. Well that's what
I call it  he he ! I am sure there is another word for it though. I
then stamped a flower image , first in white and then in grey.
Hmmm the white didn't show up too well I fear. I should have
stamped more off to the side I think. I have now added a
line to one side of the flower using my gelly roll glitter pen.
Highlights it a bit more, is it better?? ....hmmm you decide :)
I added a sentiment after giving it the same 'inky' treatment too.
Have a great weekend everyone whatever you have planned :)

'Leonora' silk ribbon jewellery

Hi everyone, brrrr another cold  icy day again,
I think Winter is still upon us. We have snow
lying about here today  but it is melting thank
heavens. Right onto my project for today &
this time I have some jewellery to show you.
More of my real silk handmade, hand-dyed
ribbon sets. I just love the steely grey colour
of this soft pretty ribbon . I teamed it up with a
beautiful  clear  Swarovski crystal circle pendant.
The earrings were made using Sterling Silver &
some clear and steely grey Austrian f/p crystals.
I was really happy to find the perfect shade of grey
in these crystals to match the ribbon. It's a process
which can take me a VERY long time sometimes lol.
Will be added to my jewellery website shortly.
I hope you like the set as much as I do :)
ps.For all who asked after our young grandson Charlie ,
he is much better thankyou. He was ill
for 8 days in all, ( gastro- enteritis) poor baby!

Baby with stork card

Hi everyone, another  grey & rainy day here today, been awake
since 4.30 am grrrrrr! Anyway onto my card, over at 'Less is More'
it's one layer week again and the theme is.................
Spots and Stripes
Luckily I found this cute digi freebie from Dearie dolls ,
as it had spots it was just the thing to use I thought.
Sorry the sentiment is hard to read here after I added my usual
glamour dust . It's says 'It's a girl'. Just one corner of the card is rounded
btw., covered the other up with the flower I see ( note to self, don't
do that again). A big welcome to yet another follower, thankyou so much
for following me, welcome aboard :)
ps Poor Charlie ( our grandson) has been ill with gastro enteritis for 8 days
he even had to go to A&E at one point as he was screaming with pain
poor thing. Anyway he improved yesterday and can now eat again.
Just got the most amazing bouquet of flowers from my lovely son
and his wife, really made my day as not feeling that great today.
Have a great Mother's day tomorow everyone!
pps. Now added stripes to my card, lack of sleep sorry!!!!
