Giraffe baby card

Hi sweet friends, I hope you are all well and  keeping warm in this cold weather we are  having. Well it's cold here anyway brrrr !!!! 0c here just now.        We have just a sprinkling of snow today so far. At least we made it yesterday to look after our grandson for a while to help out.         This week over at 'LIM' towers it's a Lucky Dip and the chosen theme is         Little Ones


Of course what cards did I last post here... ........baby cards of course.....so typical ! I made a similar card but used a different  image this time.          It was also another very small  square  card  (4"x4"). So that goes  with this week's theme too I think ;)          I still have babies on my mind, see  previous post lol. We found out we are  expecting another granddaughter .          Of  course I am beyond excited  AGAIN !! Thanks for all the good wishes  too,  you are all so lovely even though I  haven't met any of you irl. & many of you also live in another country.         Card  making/blogging certainly makes it a  very small world. I do appreciate and  treasure your friendship ;)         Anyway come and have a closer look  at my card. I hope you have a lovely weekend whatever you have planned ;)

Baby cards

Hi friends, just another quick post again. I should be leaving comments for you all, I will do as  soon as I have finished this post.         We have a dusting of snow today, hope it goes quickly. Stay safe and warm everyone ;)         As I had babies on my mind all day yesterday I decided to make two baby cards. It was a  very long  day, we were waiting to find out  the sex of  our 4th (and probably last)  grandbaby.         We only found out very late afternoon, so by then all my nails were chewed down.....well not really but you know what I mean.         It has made us all very happy as we now know it is a ......................girl !!!!! All tests say everything is fine with mother  and baby too which is THE most important  thing of course ;)         My DIL esp. is ecstatic lol. She has always  wanted a girl ( although she is crazy about her  boy  as we all are). So they will have one of each now just like my other son and DIL.        How clever is that & how happy we all  are  too ;) So Alexander will soon have a sister, he said  it was a girl all along........he must have known ;)       We all thought it was a boy !!!!       Anyway sorry about my rambling yet again, ( you can probably sense how excited I am ) lol.....more PINK !!!       Come and have a closer look at my two  baby cards.      

        I used an old digi I printed out ages ago, I think  it's a DSB one ? The gingham was also from spare card I found in a box.    Sorry no idea where from now.I had never used  it before. Oooh NBUS Darnell would be proud  lol ! I used Promarkers and Flexmarkers to  colour.   The sentiment is a Woodware clear magic stamp.

Hi Ladies and Jellyspoons, ( my OH's name for  gentlemen....no idea either!).....see here and now  we all understand where it came from....and relax.       I have another  'LIM' challenge card to share  with you all again. I was in a card making frenzy  yesterday so there will be lots more next week  I think.       See sketch below my card for this weeks theme  over at 'LIM' towers. I managed to use some gold on my card. I have been dying to use gold lately  for some reason. Sketch 14

With Love card

Hi friends, as it's Saturday yet again I have another 'Less is More' card to share with you today.       It's a sketch this time, (see pic below my card). I was in a blue/green mood today so this is what I came up with.        Of course it wouldn't be complete without a   touch of pink  lol ,so I added a bit of that too. Just realised the sentiment should have been  at the side .....darn. I did put it there at first then thought it had to be at the bottom.  Typical!      
I received lots of new crafty 'stuff ' today in the post so I am trying to get inspiration from it all.        Great service again  from Clearly Besotted I  must say. I ordered it yesterday and it all  arrived today ;)            My Make the Day Special things arrived in two days also so well  done to them too ;)           We are grandchildren  free this weekend so  I am going to be making cards mostly. In  between finishing yet another  jumper for the  grandbabies with matching scarf and hat ;)           Anyway come and have a closer look at my  card. Friends cards

Hi friends, I am back with another quick post. Still sorting my new computer, (see previous post  if you have a spare 3 hours, and want a laugh!).       I still feel like  a dinosaur trying to learn about  Windows 8 and  find/move/sort/install/delete/ reorder all my stuff. Getting there bit by bit  though at last.       I am able to post pics of my cards at last now I have installed my new PSP programme. Although where all my old brushes/masks/ etc. have gone to is still a mystery to me lol.        Anyway here are two cards I made  recently. I thought the second one was maybe  a tad bare? hmm should I add a sun and trees/hills/ valleys etc.I decided this was   enough for my feeble mind to cope with atm. a case of less is more so left it  quite CAS.           I made this quick digi card at first as I was in sheer panic mode with the new 'puter taking up so much of my time.         I made this second one when I needed a  quick break from sorting stuff. Also I had so much going around in my brain I thought my head might just explode lol.    
This first card/image made me smile. I thought it  could mean  'friends' who look/dress alike ;)         Be kind about my second card please as colouring isn't my strong point to say the least lol. I did  have a try though ;) Come and have a closer look.............

Hi playmates! just popping in to say I have my new 'puter now. No cards to show you atm. as I just realised I need my editing programme to finish my  cards before I can post them.       I have quite  an old version of PSP so have treated  myself to the latest version.Just waiting for it  to arrive now. I also need a larger EHD it seems too.       Such a rush, my head is still spinning!! ........I also  need a new oven and pocket camera too lol. My OH and my son decided I needed a new computer.         For some reason my OH thought I would  take some persuading.I ordered one next day  (no I don't hang about do I lol).         It arrived  the very next day (amazing service eh!),  it's a DEL btw. As we were looking after our  grandson overnight, ( first time...it went very well,  I want to keep him  now lol).        Our son and DIL arrived to collect  him next day. As he is my main computer expert, he decided to install my new 'puter there and then.       Much panic ensued by me of course. Things  were happening so quickly !!! He has set up my new 'puter and new keyboard side by side  with my old one and old keyboard.         So after moving some vital stuff, he has left me to sort the rest.......GULP!!!You would laugh if you  could see me now. I have two keyboards and two  mice here as I type lol.          I had to reinstall printer  drivers when the printer  was playing up. I am still getting to grips with  Windows 8. I am very confused about everything  I do atm. I also feel about 106 !          It made me laugh when my son tried to explain stuff to me. I know I looked just like my elderly  neighbour when I try and explain things to her.       She gets a kind of glazed over expression....... I had that too dear friends! Anyway I am just  about coping, I was here at 4.30 am. as I couldn't  sleep last night lol.         As I couldn't show you my LIM card/s (I will  when I can edit them). I am showing you a digi  page  I made instead. I did manage to reinstall my CAP programme.        Not without difficulty though ! I had no kits there  etc, and much panic ensued. I found the place to enter a new location for CAP to find my old  stuff though.        Phew! Sure I have aged overnight! Sorry for all the waffling AGAIN !!! normal service  will be resumed very soon....... I am hoping.        Also sorry I was late leaving comments last week too. What with 3 lots of babysitting and a new 'puter, life took over!         Anyway here is a quick digi page I made to  calm myself down lol. On a more positive note, I now have almost nothing on my desktop:)       Before it was getting almost full....I know I know!!! If you are still with me,come and have a closer look,  it's my grandson  Charlie. I took this photo at Xmas and  loved it in B&W, hope you like it too ;)            

New Home card

Hi everyone, another grey drizzly day here today grrrr. A good excuse for escaping to my craft room  and  making a card though !       I recently bought this lovely embossing folder and  have been dying to try it out, so here goes. A bit of distress inking, some stamping, die cutting   a few sequins/twine and job done.       I am entering this into the 'Virginia's View Challenge' which this time is 'Clean Slate'. I used a lot of white  space (one of the options) and 'new home' means  that to me also so I hope it's ok.       Silly me thought I could also enter it into the 'LIM' challenge this week. Then I realised it wasn't one layer .............. doh!        I just realised that Virginia comes from Taiwan, so  does my beautiful DIL ;)        ps. Hmm my computer is running so slowly these days. It seems my OH has had secret talks with our computer  expert  son and they have decided I need a new one.     He also told him to get the best as I use it so much  ( my son will choose it....as I haven't a clue!).  Wasn't that nice of my OH though awww ;)     Oh my! I am hoping it will be easy to move all my  stuff  from  my computer/EHD to a new computer. I  know it wasn't easy last time I had to change 'puters!  .............Panic mode now initiated..........     Computers seem to be out of date after 5 years now  according to our son.........not good is it !!!!! End of waffling, come and have a closer look  at my card ;)

New baby card

Hi friends, just popping in to show you my  latest 'Less is More' card. I managed to get it made in between babysitting sessions.       It's 'One layer' card week again and the theme  is ........     'New Beginnings'  
Been so busy as we had to babysit twice last week and then we had the other grandbabies  over today too.        We are having one of our grandsons to stay over for the first time next week by himself as it's his parents Anniversary.        I predict lots of cuddling then, he loves me  reading books to him also.......and pretend  'shopping'.........mostly  for Advocado's lol.  I  am the shop keeper and  he pays me with  lego bricks lol.          Right sorry waffling too much as usual, here is  my card.The light wasn't great so please forgive  my  photo!      Come and have a closer look.....

Pretty flower card

Hi friends, just popping by today to show you another card. Busy babysitting the next few  days and cooking/baking food to take with us.       I do like to give my DIL's a break so they  don't have to do any cooking in the evenings.         Means I have to be super quick making a card  though. Here's what I came up with in between doing various 'jobs' lol.       Back to my usual pink too you will notice ;) I just adored this lovely flower stamp when I saw it whilst blog hopping. Sorry if you want it now too ;)       ps. Oops forgot to say it was my Fastiversary two days ago. Been on the 5.2 diet for exactly a year and lost 18lbs. Not a huge amount I know, but good for me he he. I also got into a tight fitting size 12 dress the other week. Happy days, sticking with it now !

Hi everyone, it's time for my first 'Less is More' card of the New Year. It's a colour challenge  this time and.....     BLACK, METALLIC + ONE       Here's what I came up with. I used black, silver (metallic) and a touch of pale  blue/ turquoise.     I used some silver and black card & some  metallic  spray too in Brushed Pewter. Oooh loving this stuff now!      Also some Frantage (Shabby Blue). A few  silver sequins and the card was finished.       Please come and have a closer look............       ps.
